A Message to Seniors and the Disabled: About six years ago my Mom's Medicare plan was switched without her knowledge. It took more than eight weeks to get Mom back into the plan in which she had been enrolled. That is why I began helping seniors and the disabled with their health care plan options; I did not want that to happen to anyone else. New regulations prohibit what happened to Mom from happening now, but there are other ways that folks can find themselves in a plan that might not be a good fit. No one plan is right for everyone; that is why I contract with several companies that offer Medicare Advantage plans, Medicare supplements, and Medicare prescription drug plans. My goal is to help my clients understand how Medicare works, and assist them with choosing a plan based on their needs.
