• A warm caring attendant staff to help with games, activities, exercises, crafts, field trips, etc.
• Outings and field trips to area parks, rodeo parade, livestock show and rodeo, shopping, nature tours, zoo, even short out of town trips, just to name a few.
• We will pick you up at home and drop you off or arrange for free monthly metro passes for qualified clients.
• We serve a hot breakfast, nutritious lunch, and an afternoon snack following the guidelines of the Child and Adult Food Program; Special Nutrition Program of the Department of Agriculture. We have a Licensed Dietician Consultant to oversee our food program and work with clients on their nutrition.
• Large activities area with music for dancing, exercises, karaoke, games, bingo, special seasonal celebrations, monthly birthday parties, etc. large screen TV for movies, DVDs, etc. Smaller TV area for personal video games, videos, DVDs. There are Chair Tai Chi exercise classes, and Aromatherapy relaxation classes. A spacious secured backyard area for gardening, meditation, socialization, barbeques, and special outside events.
• A quiet area for television, books on tape, reading room, music, and relaxation from the larger activity area.
• Guest speakers and in-services on health and safety, nutrition, diabetes care, etc. Dental checks, eye exams, psychosocial counseling, etc., with physician approval.
• Social groups for Seniors, Men & Women’s groups, Bible Study, Special Needs Scouting, etc.
• We have a full time Licensed Vocational Nurse on duty to handle all minor emergencies, administer prescribed medications, monitor blood pressure, blood glucose, and perform standard nursing procedures. A registered nurse in each week for 4 hours to provide additional medical care as prescribed.
