The Houston Leones soccer team brings the aggressive enthusiasm of young, up-and-coming soccer players to Houston as part of the USL Premier Development League.

The USL Premier League is a Tier 4 division. The Houston Leones plays in the Mid South Division of the Southern Conference.

Adding to the excitement, the Houston Leones is the minor league affiliate team of the Mexican Premier League team, Cruz Azul.

The Leones have come out of the gate aggressively, winning difficult matches in their inaugural 2008 season. A few of their games feature junior players from Cruz Azul, who sometimes play with the Leones to gain match experience.

The Leones have proven themselves to be a formidable team, beating the championship Laredo Heat during the regular season.

The team plays its home games at Soccer World Center in Richmond. The team's colors are blue and white.
